New York Knicks: Top 5 basketball cards on the market
5) Kevin Knox
Kevin Knox had an inefficient but promising rookie season where he averaged 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on .370/.343/.717 shooting. His sophomore season was not a successful one and he still shot poorly from the floor. We saw his minutes shrink due to other veterans signed on the team (particularly Marcus Morris) but he was not impressing anyone during practice either.
This season is Knox’s year to prove that he belongs in this league. We saw an improved shooting from the 3-point mark in the pre-season and his body looks NBA ready. Kevin Knox was selected in the lottery for a reason and this season might be the best time to purchase Kevin Knox cards on the low.
4) Immanuel Quickley
Immanuel Quickley has been quite a surprise for the Knicks in the pre-season. As a late 1st round pick, he was expected to take a couple of years to develop to contribute to the Knicks. He seemed like one of the few guards on the team that was ready to get the ball moving while being able to shoot it from deep. His quick lateral movements and on-ball defense will make him a coach Thibodeau favorite.
When I said that this hobby is an emotional one, I meant it. Frank Ntilikina’s cards held up their value for a while despite his inconsistent minutes and play. This was a direct influence of Knicks fans being infatuated with Ntilikina’s potential despite Ntilikina’s lack of impactful games.
Quickley has caught the attention of New York and his rookie cards are already on the rise. If he can keep up what he has shown so far, Immanuel Quickley cards seem like great cards to own.
