Despite the team’s struggles, there are some things New York Knicks fans can be thankful for.

While it might not always seem so, there are reasons to be thankful as a New York Knicks fan.

This year, arguably more than any other that has come before it in recent memory, will be difficult to draw positive recollections from. As we narrow our focus a little bit more to the NBA hardwood, it was very strange for there not to be professional basketball games from the middle of March all the way until the end of July.

While New York Knicks fans can make jokes about not having basketball to watch from mid-April through late June, even without a pandemic, not having that extra time to see if R.J. Barrett could turn the corner, or if Mitchell Robinson could remain disciplined enough to stop fouling to finish the 2019-2020 campaign was time that we’ll never get back.

Even still, during this week leading up and through the Thanksgiving holiday, it’s still important to remember that there still redeeming aspects that we can feel good about being fans of the Knickerbockers.

Let’s take a closer look at 5 things we can be thankful for, before we jump into that platter of turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.
