1) Justin Holiday
Former Knick Justin Holiday is reportedly someone the Knicks front office is considering pursuing in free agency, per Ian Begley of SNY.
Holiday was part of the trade that brought Derrick Rose to New York in 2016. After playing all 82 games for the Knicks the following season, he eventually signed back with the Bulls a year later.
Last season, he was a bench piece for the Indiana Pacers, averaging 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds, while providing quintessential value as a 3-and-D player, shooting 40.5 percent from downtown and pulling up his shorts on defense.
The Pacers have reportedly reached out to him in hopes of bringing him back, but there could be a bidding war for the 31-year-old wing who is coming off a $4.8 million contract this past season. While the free agency market is expected to be tight, players like Holiday, whose value is within the mid-level exception range, will likely find plenty of suitors.
For the Knicks, they are in need of both shooting and defense along the wing, so Holiday would be a natural fit. Whether they can convince him to join a rebuild without overpaying for his services will be interesting to watch.
