Reggie Bullock: Non-guaranteed at $4.2 million

Vote to Keep

Of all the players on team options or non-guaranteed contracts, Reggie Bullock presents the most obvious case to keep in New York next season. His $4.2 million contract is extremely reasonable for a player who can offer veteran leadership, perimeter shooting, and occasional defense.

New York could always dangle Bullock in trade during the season. He gives the Knicks a veteran asset at low cost that they could sell to contending teams who might be willing to surrender something of value if they are desperate enough to add a “final piece.”

Depending on how much cap space the Knicks want to use for signing new players, absorbing bad contracts, or acquiring salary in trade, they might need an extra $4.2 million to make their grand vision work. If so, obviously Bullock could turn into a cap casualty. But for a team that can create over $40 million in cap space, that seems unlikely.
