New York Knicks: The Rooks

These pieces can go NESW and move as many spaces as they want. These pieces are very valuable but they are basically good at doing one thing. These are not versatile players, and while they are very good, they are limited due to their weakness being so glaring.

Mitchell Robinson

He will run.

He will jump

He’s Mitchel Robinnnnnson

He will slam

He will dunk

He’s Mitchell Lobinsonnn

Take a step back

Make it three

Robinson is here for you and me

Seriously though Mitch’s athleticism and elite shot blocking has him as one of the only cornerstones on this team. I hope Thibs can help him unlock his talent and play like this more often.

Julius Randle

The spinning and winning, bounding and astounding, playmaking and baking man himself. He’s easily the player Knicks fans want gone the most due to poor spacing, tunnel vision, and being an empty stat god. With all the considered, Randle is a genuinely good basketball player (something most of the people on this team can’t claim). He will likely be traded this offseason, but Randle is no doubt a solid player. It isn’t his fault this team has no shooting and his lack of shooting makes him a huge liability when playing next to Robinson.
