Players Knicks fans can root for in the bubble: Jamal Crawford

How does anybody root against Jamal Crawford?

The former Knick is once again trying to prove that age is just a number meant to be surpassed by his point total. After being out of the game for more than a year, Crawford will suit up for the Brooklyn Nets in Orlando.

Yeah, it sucks rooting for the Nets as a Knicks fan, but if you ignore the lettering on the jersey, it will be fun to see Crawford doing his thing on the court again.

The 40-year-old played parts of five seasons with the Knicks from 2004 until he was traded for Al Harrington in 2008. During that time, he averaged 17.6 points per game and 4.4 assists, while connecting on 40.7% of his field goal attempts. His most memorable performance coming in 2007 against Miami when he dropped 52 points on a scorching 20-30 shooting night.

It seems like the planets are aligned for Crawford to put on one more magical scoring night before he calls it quits for good. Don’t be surprised if you see it with the Nets in Orlando.
