New York Knicks free agents: Reggie Bullock

2019-20 Stats: 8.1 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 1.4 APG, 1.6 SPG, 40.2 FG%, 33.3 3P%

Prediction: Stays with the Knicks

Reggie Bullock did not make his Knicks debut until January in a 117-93 victory over the Portland Trailblazers, where he tallied 11 points on 3/5 shooting from downtown. Bullock’s debut with the Knicks was delayed because of surgery for a herniated disc injury in July and the tragic loss of his sister.

When he made his debut for the Knicks, he impressed for his ability to shoot the three and space the floor, something the team struggled with at the time. Bullock was obviously rusty, coming off injury, but shot over 111 attempts from three at a 33.3% clip.

Although his shooting percentages are not ideal, with a full offseason to recover from the injury and get into shape, Bullock can certainly become a consistent contributor to the team.

The Knicks are desperate for shooting around RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson, and given Reggie Bullock’s $4.2 million dollar option, he is an affordable and cheap shooting option.

Bullock was a fixture in the rotation upon his debut, and head coach Mike Miller frequently chose to play him over Damyean Dotson and Wayne Ellington, a belief that Bullock was more productive for the team.

With his ability to spread the floor and shoot the ball, Bullock will certainly be a key rotational piece next season, especially considering his affordable option.
