3) Learning from Sam Presti
There could be some concern looking over Frank Zanin’s resume that his career in the NBA has always been at the service of Billy King, who will not go down in history as the greatest General Manger the sport has ever known. Ask the Celtics how they like dealing with King.
But after King stepped down in Brooklyn, Zanin quickly found a new job as a pro scout for the Oklahoma City Thunder, working under respected GM Sam Presti, a position he has held since 2016.

Knicks fans can hope for positive results in New York with Zanin bringing his long-time experience as a scout, along with lessons he learned working under Presti in Oklahoma City.
