Drafted Mitchell Robinson

GRADE: A+

This was the home run for Steve Mills and Scott Perry. Mitchell Robinson is a unique talent that should have been drafted in the lottery, and the Knicks were able to get him in the second round with the 36th overall pick. The fact they used a pick acquired in the Carmelo Anthony trade makes the move even better.

After sitting out a year from organized basketball, Robinson fell down the draft board, but credit the Knicks for doing their homework and realizing he would be a steal.

Robinson quickly let the NBA know what they missed out on when he showcased his blocking and above the rim ability in the 2018 Summer League tournament in Las Vegas. He carried over his explosive performance into the regular season where he averaged 2.4 blocks while scoring 7.3 points on 69.4 percent shooting around the basket.

This past season, his 74.2 shooting percentage was tops in the league. Fans are still waiting for him to showcase his shooting outside of the paint, which he has teased on social media posts.

Overall, Mitchell Robinson is one of the best representations of hope from the Steve Mills era.
