The New York Knicks could be on the verge of a roster shakeup, but which players should give new president Leon Rose pause before trading?

Once again, the New York Knicks are under new leadership, set to follow a new “vision” using a new “plan” under a new “culture.”

Knicks fans have heard these buzzwords before. While the media would have loved an opportunity to speak to Leon Rose after he was hired as team president, who really needs to hear the same basketball platitudes?

While some things will remain the same, general manager Scott Perry is back for another season, the Knicks roster could be on the verge of a major shake-up. Several players are on expiring or non-guaranteed deals for next season. Several more may find themselves in a new location via the trade route.

In thinking about the “untouchable” players on the Knicks roster in trade talks, the list is pretty short. Mitchell Robinson? RJ Barrett? If it’s not bolted down to the Madison Square Garden building, everything is ready to be brought to the curb for pick-up or marked “for sale.”

But if we had to expand the list of untouchables in terms of which players Leon Rose should be the most reluctant to trade before next year’s deadline, the conversation gets interesting.
