Jordan Nwora, Louisville Cardinals

The New York Knicks are on pace—lottery excluded—to have the Nos. 6, 27, and 38 selections in the 2020 NBA Draft. As such, it would behoove Scott Perry to look beyond the lottery for a power forward who could help address a glaring weakness.

One of the first names that Perry should have penciled in on his big board is former Louisville Cardinals forward Jordan Nwora—a truly impressive shooter.

Nwora converted 178 three-point field goals during his three-year career at Louisville, including 153 between the past two seasons. He shot a collective 39.4 percent from beyond the arc during those three campaigns, including his mark of 40.4 percent in 2019-20.

Plain and simple: Nwora was an absolute marksman from beyond the college three-point line, and the mechanics in place suggest he can be the same in the NBA.

Nwora has the size and athleticism to potentially provide value elsewhere, but bottoming out as a sharpshooting 4 wouldn’t be a bad thing. An abundance of teams have found ways to incorporate said players in prominent roles, even utilizing them on the path to the postseason.

If the Knicks decide to select a prospect at a different position at No. 6 overall, then Nwora could help bring depth and shooting to a team in need of both at No. 27 or No. 38.
