The New York Knicks must turn over every stone at the 2020 NBA Draft. That includes potentially drafting a small forward to fill what is currently a void.

The New York Knicks will enter the 2020 NBA Draft with a unique opportunity to put the finishing touches on the youth movement. RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson appear to be anchors of a high-low balance, Frank Ntilikina has established himself as a defensive ace, and cap space is aplenty.

Kevin Knox may still live up to the lofty expectations that were placed upon him, but the Knicks will have options come the annual selection process.

With or without Knox in the fold, New York is in a position to select a small forward in either the first or second round of the 2020 NBA Draft. The positionless NBA has enabled players like Knox to move over to the 4-spot, where stretch bigs are far more prevalent than those in the mold of Tim Duncan or Karl Malone.

As such, selecting a small forward wouldn’t necessarily put Knox out, as much as it would give the Knicks a new layer of versatility.

Thankfully for Scott Perry, Leon Rose, and the scouting staff, there are quite a few intriguing small forwards on the board. Some would fit seamlessly alongside Barrett and Robinson, while others could grow into a more defined role as their skill sets come along.

Regardless of what the intention behind the selection would be, the New York Knicks will have options to choose from at the small forward position.

Who should they be keeping an eye on?
