Frank Ntilikina

And you thought this list would be full of players on non-guaranteed deals or club options!

With Steve Mills strolling the Garden hallways as a board member for MSG instead of a chief decision-maker for the Knicks, Frank Ntilikina might have lost his strongest defender in the front office.

It’s no secret that Scott Perry isn’t the biggest fan of Frank, and if the 2019-20 season is never concluded, Frank might have played his final game as a Knick. I expect new president Leon Rose to make some moves to shake up the roster during the offseason, which could find Ntilikina on the trade block.

While Ntilikina was once represented by Rose’s agency, he bolted CAA for a French agent last season.

Meanwhile, Elfrid Payton has a supporter in Scott Perry, played relatively well last season, and could return on a team-friendly deal, whether the team decides to guarantee the $8 million owed on his current deal, or work out a new contract.

No modern Knicks player (hell, I don’t know if any Knicks player) has been debated with more fervor than Frank Ntilikina. You can bet his departure will be debated with the same intensity by fans.
