Overlooked Games

4. 23 and 10 vs Utah

Everyone remembers Lin’s breakout game against the Nets, his performance vs Kobe and the Lakers, and his game-winning shot in Toronto. One of the games during Linsanity that is often overlooked is when he made his first start in a contest against the Jazz.

While Lin’s heroics in the Knicks win over their tristate rivals was special, there’s no Linsanity without momentum. And in Lin’s second game, with Amar’e Stoudemire joining Carmelo Anthony on the sideline, he proved his performance against New Jersey wasn’t a fluke. He scored 28 points that night, on 10-17 shooting, dishing out 8 assists over 44 minutes of play.

3. The comeback against Cleveland

Just when it seemed like the Linsanity bubble was starting to lose some air, the Knicks put together a comeback against the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers to get back on track. After losing to Miami before the All-Star break in a game that Lin was trapped and attacked into eight turnovers in his worst performance since his magical run began, the Knicks were looking for a home win against Cleveland to get back on track. Trailing by 17 points at halftime, they put together a ferocious comeback behind Lin’s 19 points and 13 assists, the point guard only committing one turnover after looking uncomfortable against Miami.
