2. Anthony Edwards (Shooting Guard/Small Forward)

Anthony Edwards has the perfect body for an NBA wing today, at 6-foot-5, 225 pounds. Couple that with the fact he has recently become one of the better long-range shooters in this draft, and it makes sense for why he is so coveted.

Edwards can now score on all three levels, which was not apparent a few years back. On top of being a super athletic three-level scorer, he has great hands-on defense as well, which is a plus for a player like Edwards as most players like him just use only their lateral quickness or strength to play “hard defense”, not their hands.

One day Edward’s could easily be an All-NBA defender with his God-given gifts, but that is only as long as he keeps playing hard and working hard, which as noted, is easier said than done.

While Edwards can be the best player from this draft, he does have flaws, as well, and the one that sticks out is his lack of ball-handling or playmaking ability.

While he is quick with the ball, he still has a bad tendency to look down at the ball while dribbling, which could be a reason why he isn’t quite the best playmaker yet as you need to keep your head up on offense to read the defense. Also, he needs to learn that sometimes finishing below the rim and not above the rim is helpful, not just dunking everything, especially in the NBA.
