Matchup: New York Knicks vs Dallas Mavericks

When: Nov. 14, 8:00 PM EST

Where: Madison Square Garden, New York, New York.

For obvious reasons this is the most anticipated game for Knicks fans this season: Kristaps Porzingis’s return to Madison Square Garden as a Dallas Maverick.

Knicks fans have not forgotten Porzingis’s request to be traded, and they will let him hear it. Hailed as the savior and future of the franchise, the 7-foot-3 Latvian blindsided many fans with his request to be traded.

Dennis Smith Jr. will also make his first matchup vs his former team, adding a chip on his shoulder for this game.

The Mavericks feature two young stars in Luka Doncic and Porzingis, making this a formidable matchup for the Knicks.

The Knicks have a multitude of gritty and strong defenders they can put on Porzingis, and the team will be extra aggressive against him. Porzingis, coming off an ACL tear, has something to prove as well, making this matchup notable for both sides.
