The New York Knicks may be lacking the star power they expected to have at the beginning of the 2019-20 season, but there is still a lot to look forward to with this new roster and season. 

The New York Knicks are going to be a team to keep an eye on this upcoming season. With an influx of young talent and veterans, the team has a lot of depth that could resemble the Los Angeles Clippers’ roster from last season.

The Knicks drafted RJ Barrett third overall with hopes that he will be their franchise player, and that alone should make this season an interesting one. The development of Mitchell Robinson, Kevin Knox, and Dennis Smith Jr. will also be a focal point for fans this season.

However, unlike last season, the Knicks are all-in on competing for the playoffs. They signed multiple veterans such as Julius Randle, Bobby Portis, Marcus Morris, Taj Gibson, Elfrid Payton, and Wayne Ellington with the belief that they will help propel this young Knicks team into a competitive squad.

The way the Knicks respond to the departure of Kristaps Porzingis to Dallas and being spurned by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving this summer will also be a foremost focus for the NBA community as a whole.
