David Fizdale is able to manage the rotation and maximize player production

The Knicks have a deep lineup and have a lot of players that will need minutes. With the addition of six new free agents, five of which will likely come off the bench, the Knicks have a crowded rotation. Players like Damyean Dotson, Allonzo Trier, Frank Ntilikina will also need minutes, giving the Knicks a 13-man rotation.

David Fizdale will have a lot on his plate with dividing minutes for all 13 players. Being able to balance between giving the younger guys enough minutes to flourish and grow, while keeping the veterans happy with enough playing time, the Knicks are in a tricky position.

The Knicks have three-point shooting off the bench with guys like Reggie Bullock, Wayne Ellington, and Damyean Dotson, and have pure scorers in Bobby Portis and Allonzo Trier. Elfrid Payton and Taj Gibson will also get significant playing time off the bench.

With the significant demand for minutes, the Knicks starters could also see their playing time affected. The best way for young players to grow is to get out there and play. RJ Barrett, Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson, and Dennis Smith will all need playing time to continue their growth.

It will be a tall task for David Fizdale and will show how good of a game manager he is. He will have a ton of options and potential lineups at his disposal. If the Knicks want to compete they will need coach Fizdale to get the most out of his players and lineups.
