Another disappointing top recruit from 2018, Romeo Langford had the potential to land in the top 10 or even the top five. While he played on a bad Indiana Hoosiers team, the overall slash line and stat line left much to be desired.

Three-point shooting is a problem for Langford. He hardly showed that ability this past season, and a 44.8 percent mark overall is a concern. Like Reddish, however, it was potentially a product of his role, with it on a mediocre Big Ten team instead.

Langford will have a smaller role on whichever team he joins, with the potential to grow as he ages. The Miami Heat is one of those teams, and they have a backcourt opening after Dwyane Wade‘s retirement.

Filling the shoes of a future hall of famer is all but impossible. More than likely, Langford will not approach anything “Flash” did for that city since 2003. They have the move on, though, and finding someone as soon as the 2019 NBA Draft to help this is ideal.

Langford needs time to develop, so this pick will not work out overnight. Maybe two or three years down the road, he becomes a 15-point scorer who starts most games off the point guard.

A positive draft combine may help Langford’s stock, pushing him into the top 10. Until that happens, he is a candidate to land at No. 13 and potentially even lower.
