Filling out the big man splurge in this area of the draft, Naz Reid slots to the Portland Trail Blazers at No. 22. Jusuf Nurkic, Meyers Leonard and Zach Collins are all in place, but one more player can round out a promising group of rotational bigs, potentially sans Leonard if they can find a taker for his eight-figure salary in the offseason.

Reid provides a big body, at 6-foot-10, 250 pounds, even as just a freshman. That will play against the NBA’s bruisers down low, and a pick-and-pop game allows him to stretch to mid-range and knock down a handful of three-pointers.

This is an athletic player for his size, too. He’s not exceptional at anything but can slide into a team’s big-man rotation for the next handful of years.

Look for Reid around the late teens or early 20s, pending if he actually declares and how the draft process proceeds. He’s not a star talent, but offers enough intrigue, with a backup floor.

If Reid somehow falls into the second round, he’d be a good offset to the freakishly athletic Mitchell Robinson, who’s still growing into his body. But, that probably won’t happen with the New York Knicks picking low in the final 30 selections.
