The first of Duke’s trio of stars, Cameron Reddish has the upside of a top wing. His size and wingspan offer enough intrigue for impact at both ends of the court, and it could create an instant starter for one of the NBA’s worst teams, record wise.

Reddish has flanked Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett all season, so it arguably makes his stats misleading, since he played third fiddle. Still, some of the numbers draw concern.

On 7.6 three-point attempts per game, the 20-year-old freshman makes just 32.7 of these shots. It tanked his overall shooting percentage, and he takes just 4.7 two-point attempts.

Ball handling is an issue, as well. With just 1.9 assists to 2.8 turnovers per game, Reddish is not reliable with the ball in his hands.

So the shooting and distributing make Reddish an enigma prospect. Some teams may see potential in him to reel these two areas in and create the next talented, athletic wing to take a position in an NBA lineup, but it might take time if this year isn’t an anomaly.

Reddish also has a rough ACC Tournament to overcome. Once Williamson returned from injury, the Norristown, PA native averaged just 8.0 points on 31.8 percent shooting.

This is a potential project for the New York Knicks to assume, but is worth the high bust potential? They risked it with Kevin Knox, who was defensively flawed. Reddish has problems on the other side of the court.
