5. Romeo Langford

The biggest question mark for the New York Knicks if they decide to draft Romeo Langford would be, “could he expand his game to become a scoring threat in the league?” Looking at his production in college, Langford profiles as a slashing-scorer similar to Tyreke Evans or Lance Stephenson. With good size for the guard position (6-foot-6, 215 pounds) and skill in transition when driving to the hoop, Langford could fit well into Fizdale’s vision of long, position-less basketball played at a high-tempo.

But what Langford brings on offense may not translate as well to the NBA game. Though he shows skill off the dribble, he is not overwhelmingly athletic or physical as some of his other peers, and with a shot that has been streaky throughout high school and college, he may not be able to get to the hoop and get his points as consistently against more physical defenders in the NBA.

Not to mention that New York doesn’t necessarily need another ball dominant player on a team with too many of those already.
