Emmanuel Mudiay‘s revitalized season continued against the Hornets, delivering another standout night to lead the New York Knicks in a highly-contested game. This time, it was a career-high night for the 22-year-old.

In 41 minutes, Mudiay had 34 points, three rebounds and eight assists on 14-for-21 shooting. Big nights, especially in the modern-day NBA, usually feature multiple three-pointers made. He only had one, as 13 of this attempts came from inside the arc.

Mudiay led the comeback in the second half, when 21 of his points happened and pushed the Knicks forward from their deficit.

Per the Knicks, this was also a monumental night in team history. He became just the ninth player to achieve a 34-point, eight-assist, two-steal night in the franchise’s decades of existence.

It was easily Mudiay’s best game since Dec. 1, when he had 28 points and seven assists against the Milwaukee Bucks, which happened to be New York’s last win. In between this, he had 13.6 points and 5.0 assists on 37.3 percent shooting in this five-game losing streak.
