After a three-game winning streak, where do the New York Knicks stand in the latest player power rankings?

After six weeks of basketball, the New York Knicks sit at 7-14. They were once on a five-game losing streak, but have since turned it around with three consecutive wins. It’s still seven games below an even record, but a positive nonetheless.

The last player power rankings featured Tim Hardaway Jr., Enes Kanter, Allonzo Trier, Noah Vonleh and Damyean Dotson. The only foregone departure is Dotson, who has dropped out of the rotation.

Will the other four players stick? Let’s see for the latest power rankings that cover Nov. 19 to 25.

Slash Line: .443/.368/.767
Week 6 Averages: 17.5 PPG, 3,5 RPG, 4.5 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 2.3 3PM, 41.4 percent shooting
Season Averages: 13.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 3.5 APG, 0.7 SPG, 0.1 BPG, 1,2 3PM

From stuck at the end of the bench to 30-point games, Trey Burke’s quick turnaround has provided a spark in the New York Knicks’ recent surge. He went from starting point guard to backup before that, as well, which began the sequence of events.

Before Week 6, Burke broke out for 24 and 31-point game against the Orlando Magic and New Orleans Pelicans, respectively. It jumpstarted a hot streak that carried through the Boston Celtics game on Nov. 21, when he went for 29 points and 11 assists on 11-for-20 shooting.

The tail-end of Week 6 saw Burke’s numbers fall near their norm, with seven and 15-point performances and inconsistent shooting.

However, the high-point streak brought Burke stability in the rotation. He’s one of the first players off the bench for head coach David Fizdale — working as the point guard or with Mudiay in other lineups.

There’s always a risk for Burke to lose his playing time, however. Dotson is still on the bench, and Courtney Lee’s return may push someone out of the rotation.

The Michigan product will have to play through a backup role, as long as Mudiay continues to surge, to keep his spot.
