16. Allan Houston, 50 points: Mar. 16, 2003

Before injuries derailed the tail-end of his career, Allan Houston delivered one of his best performances with the Knicks, and maybe the NBA in general.

It happened on Mar. 16, 2003, almost one month after Houston poured 53 points on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center. This time around, on 13-for-25 shooting, 6-for-14 on 3-pointers and a perfect 18-for-18 on free throws, he had 50 points against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Most of the damage came in the fourth quarter, when Houston knocked down six field goals, one of which was a 3-point shot. Otherwise his product was spread throughout the first three quarters.

Through this final period, Houston scored seven consecutive points for the Knicks and had another six-point streak later on. It proved to be the difference in 30-24 run to close the game and win 120-111.

A remarkably efficient game to reach this number, the then 31-year-old guard topped off his peak season in the pros. At a career-high 22.5 points per game, part of it was formed by this 50-point explosion.

Houston only played parts of two seasons afterward. However, this final standout game provided one of his final, sizeable scoring outputs to cement a nine-year run with New York at Madison Square Garden.
