The New York Knicks have a quick turnaround against the Boston Celtics, a favorite to make the NBA Finals. A preview and look at how to watch it.

The New York Knicks have already played twice in 2018-19, with a win against the Atlanta Hawks and a loss to the Brooklyn Nets. They nearly achieved a 2-0 record, if not for a game-winning shot from Brooklyn’s Caris LeVert.

The Nets game happened Friday night, however, so it’s a quick turnaround for the Knicks, as they go back home to face the Boston Celtics less than 24 hours after the 107-105 defeat.

Enes Kanter and Tim Hardaway Jr. were the leaders, with 29 points each. Kanter shot 12-for-18 and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Hardaway went 10-for-25.

To counter a deep Boston offense, the Knicks need all they can get from their veteran scorers Saturday night, and that might not be enough. Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward, the rising Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Al Horford are there. Couple that with a full bench, and New York must find other offensive answers.

Kevin Knox proved helpful against the Nets, with the best scoring night of his young career, including the preseason. He shot 7-for-14 (3-for-4 from three-point range) for 17 points and flashed the upside that accompanied him entering the 2018 NBA Draft.

Where else will the Knicks find production, though? Allonzo Trier was an option in the season opener, but he struggled in Brooklyn. Mario Hezonja didn’t approach his big night, either. Couple that with absent nights from Lance Thomas and Trey Burke, and it could create difficulties against Boston’s options, if they replicate Friday’s game.

A sidenote storyline follows the Celtics’ Irving, who will hit free agency in July. He was linked to the Knicks over the past year, but recently pledged allegiance to Boston. When asked again about the New York speculation, according to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald, the 2016 NBA champion scoffed at it:
