New York Knicks: Hypothetical over/under scenarios for 2018-19
Unofficial hypothetical scenarios for the New York Knicks in the 2018-19 season.
The New York Knicks will embark on the 2018-19 season on Wednesday, Oct. 17 against the Atlanta Hawks. Training camp and preseason have ended, so the focus is on the games that matter for the next seven months.
Everything that transpires will follow up on the 2017-18 campaign, which had promise but was derailed by Kristaps Porzingis’ torn ACL that removed him after February. He was on an All-Star campaign, and it’s unknown when the team can put him on the floor. This led to another top 10 draft pick, which resulted in the selection of Kevin Knox at No. 9 overall.
With these players, and whatever else happens this season, there will be numbers placed on all of them. From how many games New York wins to Enes Kanter’s rebound total and the team’s three-point shooting percentage, it’s all a statistic.
How these numbers play out remains to be seen, and won’t come to fruition until Game No. 82 ends, but as season previews arise, it’s the opportunity to predict these stats.
This can be done through the classic “over/under” bet that provides a given number and allows for a bet that predicts if it will be topped or fall short. Tim Hardaway Jr.’s points per game outcome could be the given bet, with 17.5 as the established number. Does he go above or below this number? It potentially leads to a push, though.
For the Knicks, the following over/under scenarios are all hypothetical to highlight possibilities for the 2018-19 campaign. How do they result?
