The New York Knicks held their open practice on Saturday. What resulted from it at Madison Square Garden?

To close the week of training camp practices, the New York Knicks went away from their Update New York facility and traveled to Madison Square Garden to put on a show for the fans. All the players arrived and even interacted with those in attendance before the preseason starts.

To open the festivities, everyone received a formal introduction to the crowd, including head coach David Fizdale and the raucous reaction he received. The Knicks posted the full intro for the roster, with nice ovations for Kristaps Porzingis, Kevin Knox and Tim Hardaway Jr.

Everyone gathered near the start of practice, before the show began.

Hey, there’s Porzingis. His timetable to return remains unknown, and it might not even occur in the 2018-19 season. Though, he still attended the open practice to the delight of fans.

He even did something nice for a fan involved in the Garden of Dreams game:

Enes Kanter also spent time with Jaheem, and Porzingis helped make a legitimate NBA dunk come true:

As for the scrimmage, the official Twitter provided a quick glimpse at the action, with a Damyean Dotson three-pointer over Mario Hezona, who Marc Berman of The New York Post was impressed with. The clip also featured another outside shot and an and-one from Tim Hardaway Jr.

Afterward, Kanter thanked everyone who attended the open practice and did a quick video shot with the fans outside the arena. Porzingis was there, too, to sign autographs.

That closed a fan-friendly day for the Knicks, before the first preseason game arrives on Monday when they travel to D.C. to face the Washington Wizards.

New York will play in five preseason games, with the final one on Oct. 12 and the start of the regular season soon after. Much remains unknown about how the team’s look for this, due to the yet-to-be-revealed starting lineup, which Fizdale said will not be announced until the preseason ends.

Some answers will come to fruition when the preseason starts. How will the fans react to that after the past week’s training camp?
