Joakim Noah

2K18 Rating: 74
2K19 Projected Rating: 72

Ever since his days on the New York Knicks began, the former Defensive Player of the Year has been a shadow of his former himself. Joakim Noah’s career has been on the decline due to injuries and a beef between himself and former Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek.

Noah’s rating from NBA 2K18 stayed at a 74 throughout the season due to his absence from the team and being stuck at the end of the bench. His ratings should decline in 2K19, however, as his production on the court has been lacking, and his age (33) is catching up to him.

Mitchell Robinson

2K18 Rating: N/A
2K19 Projected Rating: 70 overall

Another one of the Knicks’ surprises from Summer League was second-round pick Mitchell Robinson. It seems that the Knicks may have found a steal. Jay Bilas had some encouraging words for the Knicks new center:

"“He’s a bit of an unknown,” ESPN’s Jay Bilas said on air. “A lot of people think he could be like a Clint Capella-type player. That could be his role model to mature into in time.”"

After breaking Sumer League records for the most blocks (4.0) and offensive rebounds (6.2) per game, the Knicks have a lot to work with. Unfortunately, Summer League isn’t the best determinant for 2K ratings, so it seems that Robinson will be starting off at a 70 overall.

Like other steals drafted around his pick (36), the projections seem to range around 69-to-71 overall. It’s also hard to give Robinson a higher rating as he hadn’t played an organized game since high school until Summer League.

Expect Robinson’s rating to increase as the season progresses, but for now, I predict he’ll be a 70 overall.
