The New York Knicks have completed their 2018 Summer League stint. Which players stepped up for the orange and blue in Las Vegas?

The New York Knicks entered Las Vegas with tempered expectations and high aspirations. While a 2-3 record wasn’t exactly what the coaching staff was hoping for, New York received encouraging contributions from a number of the players on the Summer League roster.

There were quite a few individuals who contributed positively, but the question for the Knicks to answer is simple: Whose contributions were actually worth taking note of?

In some instances, the players who thrived were those who had the brightest of spotlights shining down on them. In others, it was the unsung heroes who managed to reward the faith placed in them by general manager Scott Perry and team president Steve Mills.

Regardless of what the circumstances were, five players made statements at Summer League—and all five are currently under contract for the the 2018-19 season.

Clearly, stepping up at Summer League only means so much in the grand scheme of things. It’s proven to be the launching pad for many, however, and it could go a long way towards determining how the Knicks handle the structure of the roster and rotation.

The question is: Who stepped up for the New York Knicks at Summer League? More importantly: What might that mean for the future of the orange and blue?
