The New York Knicks have built an intriguing roster for Summer League. Who are the five players whom fans need to keep an eye on in Las Vegas?

Oftentimes, a team’s Summer League roster is comprised of players who are fighting to make the cut. The New York Knicks know this as well as anyone, as they’ve dealt away draft picks with unjustifiable consistency, and have thus built their Summer League crew around roster hopefuls.

In 2018, the Knicks will be a rare example of a franchise that puts a Summer League team on the court that could be nearly identical to its actual 2018-19 roster.

There will be a number of key exceptions, including Tim Hardaway Jr., Enes Kanter, Trey Burke, and Emmanuel Mudiay. In saying that, as many as eight potential rotational cogs could be seen and utilized when the Knicks take the court in Las Vegas.

That includes both of the players whom New York signed to two-way contracts, each of its past two top-10 draft picks, and a slew of other valued contributors.

This will provide the Knicks with a unique opportunity to make a statement at Summer League. Whether the games are won or lost, the franchise has eight players who are already under contract, and thus, eight players who can develop chemistry early in 2018-19.

The question is: Who are the eight New York Knicks who are under contract and on the Summer League roster? More importantly: What can we expect of them?
