4. Physical Gifts

The New York Knicks have made a concerted effort to modernize the roster. One of the primary methods of doing so is to add the prototypical measures of size, length, and athleticism to a frontcourt that, sans Kristaps Porzingis, has been without it.

With Mitchell Robinson on the roster, the Knicks have a center who can provide those unique physical tools on both ends of the floor.

Standing at 7’3″ with tremendous coordination, Porzingis is the embodiment of remarkable physical tools. The centers who have complemented Porzingis have been somewhat flat-footed, however, which has limited two-way flexibility.

Robinson projects to break the mold with his elite physical measurements and unique athleticism for a player with his size, length, and frame.

Robinson’s height has been listed at varying figures, but the general consesnsus is that he’s somewhere between 6’11” and 7’1″. He boasts a 7’4″ wingspan, however, and is light on his feet, explosive in the air, and fluid in his end-to-end motion.

If the Knicks utilize him properly on both ends of the floor, Robinson could be the force of nature who changes the identity of the team with his physical gifts alone.
