The New York Knicks will have intriguing options at the 2018 NBA Draft. Who of the Knicks’ potential targets showed out at the Combine?

The 2018 NBA Draft Combine is officially in the history books. Measurements have been recorded, prospects have received their opportunity to shine in a 5-on-5 setting, and the New York Knicks, amongst other teams, have conducted preliminary interviews.

As the Knicks enter the next stage of the evaluation process, it’s important to maintain perspective while simultaneously understanding the vitality of the Combine.

Anything that transpires at the Combine must be taken with a grain of salt, as physical gifts are far from a guarantee of NBA-level success. That far from renders the revelations obsolete, however, as teams can learn critical information at the event.

That includes official information about a player’s length, athleticism, and natural shooting ability—all of which matter at the next level.

One could debate the exact importance of those factors, but they’re undoubtedly worth keeping in mind. That’s even more true for a Knicks team that’s attempting to become longer, faster, and generally more athletic on defense.
