5. Completing The Comeback

Tim Hardaway Jr. suffered a lower leg injury that sidelined him for 20 consecutive games. He returned in mid-January and didn’t take long to prove that, despite the extensive time off, he was equipped with the ability to score at a star-caliber level.

Matched up against the Utah Jazz, Hardaway had one of his top five performances of the season when he led the Knicks to a 117-115 road victory.

Hardaway finished with 31 points, five rebounds, and three assists in just 27 minutes of action. It followed his previous showing against Utah, when he tallied 26 points, six assists, and six rebounds in a home win over the Jazz.

This time around, Hardaway dominated as a scorer despite playing a mere 27 minutes—a testament to just how hot he was from all over the floor.

Hardaway shot 11-of-17 from the field and 6-of-7 from beyond the three-point line. He scored eight points during the final three minutes and 45 seconds of the fourth quarter, thus securing the victory for the orange and blue.

In a game during which Kristaps Porzingis and Enes Kanter shot a combined 11-of-27 from the field, Hardaway was legitimately dominant.
