The final four has been set in the 2018 NCAA Tournament! Which 2018 NBA Draft prospects and New York Knicks targets stepped up during the Elite Eight?
As the New York Knicks near the end of the 2017-18 NBA regular season, the evaluation process has taken a number of unexpected turns. Between surprising performances by the players on the roster and the stunning nature of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, unpredictability has become a theme.
With the 2018 NCAA Tournament down to just four teams, however, the opportunity has presented itself to evaluate a more defined talent pool.
With just one look at the Elite Eight, anyone could see how the 2018 NCAA Tournament has redefined the phrase, “March Madness.” The final eight teams were comprised of some of the most unlikely contenders in recent history, including the No. 11 seed Loyola-Chicago Ramblers.
Loyola-Chicago is now headed to the Final Four, where it will join No. 1 seeds Kansas and Villanova, and the No. 3 seed Michigan Wolverines.
One would think that a Final Four that consists of two No. 1 seeds and a No. 3 would be going according to plan. A vast majority of the championship favorites didn’t even make it to the Sweet 16, however, which severely altered the NBA Draft evaluation process.
The question is: Which prospects stepped up during the Elite Eight of the 2018 NCAA Tournament and how might their NBA Draft status impact the New York Knicks?
