The Kansas State Wildcats are one of the most surprising teams in the Sweet 16 of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. One of the primary reason Kansas State has struggled to generate offense on the road to the Sweet 16 has been the absence of junior power forward Dean Wade.

The Kansas State star recently told The Wichita Eagle that there’s a, “98 percent chance,” that he’ll play in the Sweet 16, which makes him a necessary addition to this list.

Wade is the best kept secret in the Big 12, if not the entire country. He’s a 6’10” sharpshooter who has converted better than 40 percent of his three-point field goals in each of the past two seasons, including the 44.0 percent clip he’s shooting at in 2017-18.

Some believe that he should return for his senior season, but those who have watched and played against Wade know just how good he is.

Wade isn’t just a shooter, but a dynamic scorer who can create with his advanced handle and convert midrange shots on the move. He’s also an excellent passer for his position, a legitimate post player, and a capable defender can fill multiple roles.

Throw in NBA-caliber athleticism and Wade becomes a player whom the New York Knicks should give serious consideration to drafting in the second round.
