When the Kansas Jayhawks need someone to step up and knock down a big shot, Devonte’ Graham comes through. When the Jayhawks need someone to step up and bring confidence back to the offense, Graham comes through.

Some remain skeptical of whether or not he can thrive in the NBA, but Graham has proven that the pressure isn’t going to be his undoing.

Graham’s overall efficiency has declined in 2017-18, which implies that he may not be the penetrating scorer whom many had hoped he’d become. He’s improved dramatically in multiple areas, however, and that shouldn’t be overlooked.

An elite three-point shooter and top-flight facilitator at the collegiate level, Graham has translatable skills that should garner significant NBA interest.

Graham is on pace to shoot upwards of 40 percent from beyond the arc for a third time in four years. He’s also averaging 3.2 more assists per 40 minutes than in any of his previous three campaigns, which is a testament to just how far he’s come and how hard he’s worked.

It’s bigger than numbers, but a point guard who can shoot and facilitate would have a place with Jeff Hornacek and the New York Knicks.
