The Kentucky Wildcats have an intriguing group of 2018 NBA Draft prospects on the current roster. The highest-rated prospect by near consensus happens to be the No. 2 Kentucky star on my big board: Hybrid forward Kevin Knox.

The New York Knicks are in the market for both an athletic wing and a power forward who can defend stretch bigs, which makes Knox a prospect worth knowing.

Knox has elite size and length for a small forward and the ideal build for a player at the 4. He also has explosive leaping ability and more than adequate foot speed for a player his size, which creates the potential for successful minutes at either position.

More importantly: Knox is one of the best transition scoring threats in the country, with the power to finish through contact and the skill to make plays in traffic.

Furthermore, Knox is an effective three-point shooter who should excel in catch and shoot scenarios. With a constantly improving handle and a post game that’s at least solid at this stage, he should develop into a high-quality scorer at the next level.

Coupled with the fact that Knox is willing and able to create for his teammates, he has the combination of traits to develop into an All-Star at either the 3 or the 4.
