A number 2018 NBA Draft prospects took center stage on Day 2 of the Round of 64 at the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Which New York Knicks targets stepped up?


The 2018 NBA Draft is the event that will either make or break the current vision for the New York Knicks. Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Frank Ntilikina are locked in as core members of the long-term rebuild, but there are glaring absences at a key position and in critical roles.

Thankfully, the 2018 NCAA Tournament has arrived to bring some of the star-caliber prospects and unsung heroes into the spotlight.

Day 1 of the Round of 64 produced intriguing results and a surplus of compelling performances by 2018 NBA Draft prospects. The Knicks were likely watching closely, as players at positions of need stepped up with quality showings for their respective teams.

Day 2 wasn’t quite as star-studded, but a platform was provided to less-heralded prospects who utilized this golden opportunity to improve their draft stock.

Multiple upsets occurred on Friday, Mar. 16, with multiple double-digit seeds securing bracket-busting victories. It was an encouraging development for the Knicks, as it proved that scouting the lesser-known players can be a worthy endeavor.
