The Round of 64 began on Thursday, Mar. 15. Which of the New York Knicks’ 2018 NBA Draft targets stepped up at the 2018 NCAA Tournament?

New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek may be evaluating the players on the main roster, but the scouting staff has its hands full elsewhere. The 2018 NCAA Tournament is officially underway, meaning a number of 2018 NBA Draft targets will be taking center stage.

The Round of 64 began on Thursday, Mar. 15, and the Knicks’ scouts and executives were given every reason to pay attention during that eventful day.

The NCAA Tournament can provide viewers with one-hit wonders who aren’t quite as NBA-ready as their single game performances might imply. In attempting to weed out the weak, this article will simply focus on the players who have a realistic pro-level future.

That doesn’t mean that the next Kyle O’Quinn will be ignored if he shines under the bright lights of March Madness, but a player’s bigger picture will be factored into their listing and evaluation.

Thankfully, a vast majority of the players who stepped up on Mar. 15 were those who have a realistic NBA future. For the Knicks, that means the Round of 64 has already provided a new platform for next-level evaluation.

The question is: Which 2018 NBA Draft prospects and potential New York Knicks targets stepped up on Mar. 15 in the Round of 64 of the 2018 NCAA Tournament?
