The Xavier Musketeers are one of the top teams in the 2018 NCAA Tournament field. Led by a cast of upperclassmen and a revered head coach in Chris Mack, Xavier is a No. 1 seed and a favorite to emerge as national champions.

One of the primary reasons for that projection is the brilliant play of senior shooting guard Trevon Bluiett—an underrated 2018 NBA Draft prospect.

Bluiett is a 6’6″ and 215-pound shooting guard with long arms and a picture-perfect jump shot. He’s one of the most efficient and productive three-point shooters in the NBA, which creates the foundation of his appeal to the New York Knicks.

New York ranks dead last in the NBA in three-point field goals made per game, which makes a sharpshooting wing a prospect worth considering.

Come the 2018 NCAA Tournament, Bluiett will have a chance to prove how much of a college-level star he is as the go-to scoring option on one of the best teams in the nation. As for his NBA projection, he’ll be able to prove that he can shoot under pressure.

If Bluiett also displays his vastly improved ability to create for his teammates, the Knicks could put him in their crosshairs in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft.
