The Kentucky Wildcats have experienced no trouble whatsoever when it comes to producing NBA-caliber players. The No. 1 Kentucky player on the board in 2018 is Kevin Knox, who has the tools to be a contemporary version of Josh Smith.

With an understanding of how valuable the three-point shot can be, Knox should be something between a high-level starter and a star.

Knox has the tools to play both forward positions, which makes him the perfect fit for this stretch 4 era. He can defend multiple positions with his combination of size, strength, and length, and has the athleticism to switch onto guards.

That type of defensive versatility would be perfect for the New York Knicks, which need a player to alleviate pressure from Kristaps Porzingis against stretch 4s.

Offensively, Knox is a force of nature in the open court and a solid three-point shooter who can attack a closeout. His game is still raw at this stage of his development, but he moves well without the ball, has ideal shooting form, and has improved his ability to drive in isolation.

Finding a positionally versatile player who can fill multiple roles on both ends of the floor is a challenge for every team. Knox would fit the bill.
