The New York Knicks returned from the All-Star Break in style, securing a 120-113 victory over the Orlando Magic. Who stepped up for the Knicks?

The New York Knicks entered All-Star Weekend with a need for change. New York built its rotation by featuring its veterans alongside its younger players, often overshadowing the up-and-coming group in favor of the more established players.

In the first game since All-Star Weekend, the Knicks committed fully to the youth movement and received an intriguing return.

113. 38. 120. 27. Final

Some may view this result as a counterproductive outcome, but it’s one that’s a direct result of the Knicks playing their younger players. Thus, while it may negatively impact New York’s position in the great race to tank, there are positive takeaways.

The primary reason for optimism is the fact that the Knicks provided the unsung heroes with an opportunity to shine and they answered the call.

New York allowed 69 points in the first half, but held Orlando to 44 points during the second half. On offense, it dished out 28 assists to just eight turnovers in one of its more responsible showings of the 2017-18 NBA regular season.

The question is: Who stepped up for the New York Knicks during the surprising 120-113 road victory over the Orlando Magic?
