2018 NBA All-Star Weekend has officially arrived. What would the New York Knicks do at the 2018 NBA Draft if it were held today?

When June 21, 2018 arrives, the New York Knicks will be making decisions that will alter the trajectory of the organization. Currently on pace to have one first-round draft pick and two second-round selections, New York could add three quality young players to its core.

Having reached the 2018 NBA All-Star Break, it’s only fair to evaluate what’s transpired thus far and embrace what the 2018 NBA Draft could provide.

The 2018 NBA Draft is shaping up to be one of the more solid events in recent history. The star potential is being debated at the top, but the depth is profound from thereon out, and the balance of wings and big men is as even as it’s been in quite some time.

As the Knicks and 29 other franchises ponder the possibility of either a push for the postseason or an all-out tank job, however, it’s easy to lose sight of which players are actually worth investing in.

For the Knicks, evaluating NBA Draft prospects should be a refreshing reminder of why mortgaging the future for a star isn’t a necessary move. With Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Frank Ntilikina already on the roster, a solid foundation is in place.

The question is: How would the 2018 NBA Draft play out if the New York Knicks were to maintain their current lottery odds and end up at No. 9 overall?
