The 2018 NBA All-Star Break has officially arrived. Which 2018 NBA Draft options should the New York Knicks be considering at their current spot?

The New York Knicks will receive a desperately needed break from what’s become a devastating regular season. New York has lost its franchise player, is falling out of the postseason discussion, and has a future that’s being questioned by the fan base.

Thankfully, the 2018 NBA All-Star Break has officially arrived, thus giving the Knicks an opportunity to plan for the future.

New York is currently 23-36, which sits as the ninth-worst record in the NBA. That’s a daunting reality, but it also means that the Knicks are on pace to have a top-10 draft pick for a second consecutive offseason.

Whether you call that blind optimism or a genuine silver lining, the opportunity to acquire another lottery talent is undeniably intriguing.

With the Knicks having time off for the All-Star Break, the coaching staff and front office will have an opportunity to recalibrate. A part of that process will be evaluating the stars of the future and determining who they should be targeting at the 2018 NBA Draft.

The question is: If the New York Knicks were to hold on to the ninth overall selection in the 2018 NBA Draft, who would the top five options be as of the All-Star Break?
