The New York Knicks are reportedly in the market for a young and athletic wing. Who should the Knicks pursue in the attempt to solidify the perimeter?

The New York Knicks have made it public knowledge that long-term growth is a higher priority than fleeting glory. A solid foundation has been created, but the Knicks aren’t going to sacrifice the vision for an opportunity to reward impatience.

With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, the organization is looking into ways to facilitate the development of that long-term movement.

New York is building its organization around a trio of 25-and-under players: Kristaps Porzingis, Frank Ntilikina, and Tim Hardaway Jr. With a point guard, wing, and big man in place as franchise cornerstones, the Knicks are now evaluating how to properly build around the current core.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, the Knicks are hoping to acquire a young two-way wing before the 2018 NBA trade deadline.

"New York, according to opposing teams, is hoping to add a young wing who can contribute on both ends of the floor — something that all NBA teams crave."

The Knicks are far from the only team in pursuit of youth, athleticism, and defense along the wings, but that doesn’t make its pursuit any less noteworthy.

New York is regarded as a team that has attractive assets as far as a future trade is concerned. Knowing that to be true, one can’t help but wonder whom the Knicks could realistically target as far as athletic wings are concerned.

The question is: Which young and athletic wings should the New York Knicks be targeting in the weeks leading up to the 2018 NBA trade deadline?
