Pro: Offensive Versatility

As previously alluded to, Kemba Walker is one of the best slashing scorers in the NBA. What makes Walker a perfect fit with the New York Knicks, however, is the fact that he’s more than just an isolation scorer who can attack off the bounce.

Unlike current point guards Jarrett Jack and Frank Ntilikina, Walker is also a high-volume three-point shooter—a strength that would change the offense in its entirety.

Walker is currently averaging 21.7 points per game, which would put him over 20.0 for a third consecutive season. Despite receiving minimal aid on the offensive end of the floor in Charlotte, he’s proven capable of scoring at a high level against defenses that focus almost exclusively on him.

Not since his rookie season in 2011-12 has Walker averaged fewer than 17.3 points per game, and he’s done so by thriving in multiple phases.

Walker has made at least 100 three-point field goals in five of the past six seasons, including the 101 he’s already converted in 2017-18. He’s also averaging 5.4 free throw attempts and 5.8 assists per game during yet another productive season.

For a Knicks team that ranks No. 22 in free throw attempts per game and No. 30 in three-point field goals made per contest, Walker would be a dream fit.
