If the New York Knicks are looking for an athletic big man to pair with Kristaps Porzingis, the Los Angeles Lakers have a surplus of resources. The cost of doing business may be too high, but Larry Nance Jr. isn’t the only big being shopped by Los Angeles.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Lakers have made it known to rival executives that power forward Julius Randle is available for trade discussions.

"The Lakers have made it clear that Clarkson, Julius Randle and Larry Nance are available."

The asking price is another conversation entirely, but Randle is as firmly on the open market as any player in the Association.

This comes as no surprise, as the Lakers have been shopping Randle for the better part of the 2017-18 regular season. The fact that the desire remains as the trade deadline nears, however, is an intriguing piece of information.

Teams are reluctant to give anything of value for a player on an expiring contract, but Randle could be of significant value to the Knicks.

Basic statistics aside, Randle is in the midst of a career-year. Two seasons after averaging a double-double, he’s committed himself to defense and slimmed down to the point of being almost unrecognizable when compared to previous campaigns.

Randle is still a work in progress on both ends of the floor, but his work ethic shouldn’t be a question after his incredible body transformation.
