The New York Knicks have officially reached the midway point of the 2017-18 NBA regular season. We hand out awards to the best players thus far.

The New York Knicks have completed the first 41 games of the 2017-18 NBA regular season. With first half of the season behind them and the second half soon to come, the Knicks are in unfamiliar territory in that they’re within reach of the postseason.

Before we can look ahead at the playoffs, however, we must honor the players who have made it possible for New York to be in this position.

With the arrival of the midway point, it’s only fair to evaluate the current race for the NBA awards. The Knicks are admittedly on the outside looking in from a league-wide perspective, but there are intriguing discussions to be had at a team-specific level.

Some awards may be more obvious than others, but the conversation must be held, nonetheless, in pursuit of the deserved recognition of those who have made this success possible.

The Knicks were projected by most to win fewer than 35 games, but are on pace to be in the postseason picture until the end. Beyond the wins and losses, a number of players have put in the work to become the type of contributors whom every team would covet.

The question is: Who are the current New York Knicks award winners at the midway point of the 2017-18 NBA regular season?
