With the arrival of a new year, the New York Knicks have an opportunity to leave the past behind. New York can do so by making these New Year’s resolutions.
The New York Knicks have completed the 2017 calendar year in a significantly healthier manner than it began. Gone are the days of intra-organizational feuds and off-court distractions, and in motion is a youth movement that’s showing early signs of progress.
For as promising as the Knicks have been during the 2017-18 NBA regular season, however, opportunities still exist for growth and improvement.
With the arrival of Jan. 1 comes a rare opportunity to move on from the bad and wholeheartedly embrace the good. New York will essentially have a clean slate with a .500 record of 18-18 entering the 2018 calendar year.
Making the most of that opportunity will require the Knicks to look within themselves to acknowledge and improve upon the flaws that remain.
Thankfully, the arrival of a new year means the return of the tradition of New Year’s resolutions. Not all participate, but in the case of the Knicks, it would be a healthy exercise to set realistic goals that can be achieved in 2018.
The question is: What should the New York Knicks list and accept as their New Year’s resolutions for the 2018 calendar year?
